Open 12-3 Thurs to Sun. Viewings by appointment.

Viewings are strictly by appointment only, and arrangements need to be made via Email admin@animals-in-need.org Please do bear with us as we are exceptionally busy, but your Email will be directed to the appropriate team member who will respond as soon as they are able. Applications will not be on a first-come first-served basis as we are looking for the right homes for the animals in our care but if you are not a good match hopefully we can point you in the right direction.

Please note the sanctuary will have reduced visiting times – we will be open 12 – 3 pm Thursday to Sunday. If you wish to view any animal you are interested in rehoming though, you must have a pre-arranged appointment.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT INFORMATION – Rehoming a dog is a carefully handled process – we need to make sure we find the right owner for the dog and the right dog for your home and lifestyle. We ask that you view the dogs here on the website to see which dogs are currently available. Based on the dogs you want to view, we ask a few questions to make sure your selected dogs would be suitable, and if so an appointment will be arranged. Please note you will need to provide picture ID and proof of address. If all is well when you meet, then you can reserve a dog for £50 deposit. If several people want the same dog then our kennel management team will decide based on the dog’s needs, who is best suited to care for them. In the event we are inundated with offers for the same dog, you may just be notified that we are no longer accepting applications. All dogs leave us neutered, vaccinated, ID chipped , wormed and flea treated. A voucher for a session with Nathan Watson is also included. A minimum donation of £250 per dog to help cover costs is required. Everyone wanting to rescue a dog will need to receive a full home check and must also have a secure garden with minimum 6′ fencing. Any other dogs in the home will have to be neutered. PLEASE NOTE – we cannot rehome dogs to families with children under the age of 5. You must read the criteria carefully prior to applying as if you do not meet our requirements you will not be offered an appointment. Once you are in touch with the Kennel Team they will ask you for additional information to support your application. Not all applicants will be successful, particularly when there are multiple home offers for the same dog.

Please note – where a dog is marked currently under assessment, they are not yet available. Once their profile is updated to show the type of home that is required, you will be able to email in to apply, but until that time no applications will be accepted.
